Portfolio -- About Me

I am a second year PhD student at Rice University working in the lab of Dr. Todd Treangen. The projects I have been involved with are primarily focused on biodefence, metagenomics, and pipeline developement. Before coming to Rice University, I was at the University of Washington, where I was a postbac fellow in the lab of Dr. Gabrielle Varani. Here I learned the basics of computational biology through using programs to perform structure prediction for both RNA and Protein. Before beggining my graduate studies, I was at the University of Northern Colorado. I earned a degree in chemistry and a degree in biology, while doing research ranging from automated pippette machines to tissue biology.
